From Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami

How will I get to the departure port?
If you choose to make your own air arrangements, you may wish to purchase ground transportation to the ship. Transfers are available for purchase from the arrival airport to the pier on the day of sailing and from the pier to the departure airport on debarkation day only. It is recommended that transfers are purchased two weeks prior to sailing.

Parking Information: Parking is typically available on a first-come, first-served basis at most piers for a minimal fee. The guest parking areas are located adjacent to the piers. Depending on pier location, there are multi-level garages or, flat open-air lots. Parking garages accept cash, Visa, or Mastercard. Flat-level lots are cash only. The fees are $20 per day for regular size vehicles. Rates vary for oversized vehicles.

CANADIAN LEGAL RESIDENTS, you must have the following:

  • Passport from your home country.

Norwegian Cruise Line strongly recommends all guests obtain a passport for their cruise vacation for the following reasons: If you miss your ship at its scheduled U.S. departure port and need to travel outside the U.S. to meet your ship. You unexpectedly need to depart the ship from a foreign port prior to the end of sailing, a passport would be required to leave or re-enter the U.S. by air.

OFAC Sanctions/Regulations: The United States Department of the Treasury through the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) has issued a series of comprehensive sanctions against various countries, specifically: Crimea, North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea), CubaSudan, Syria, and Iran.

  • These sanctions limit the ability of cruise lines to conduct business with these countries and their citizens, which includes allowing certain citizens of those countries to sail onboard Norwegian Cruise Line ships.
  • Accordingly, it is Norwegian’s policy that if you are a citizen or resident of one of these sanctioned countries, we will be unable to accept your cruise reservation unless you can satisfy the following conditions:
  • Provide proof of Citizenship in a non-sanctioned country;      or   
  • Provide proof of Residency in a non-sanctioned country AND evidence that you are funding the cruise, including all onboard charges, through a bank associated with a non-sanctioned country.
  • Citizens of the above countries must satisfy all the listed conditions in order to sail onboard a Norwegian Cruise Line ship.

  • Stars On Board has the right to substitute or cancel any of the promoted and confirmed stars at any time, due to unforeseen occurrences.

Final Boarding Time PolicyTo facilitate the embarkation process and the processing of your eDocs, and to comply with new government regulations governing departure manifest, all guests are required to complete Online Check-In at least one day prior to sailing and must complete check-in at the cruise terminal and be onboard the ship no later than two (2) hours prior to the departure time noted on their cruise documents or they will not be permitted to sail. Note: guests who have not filled out their Online Check-In must arrive at the port at least three (3) hours prior to sailing. In addition to the cancellation terms, no refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring the proper travel documents or show up late.

Pregnancy Policy: Norwegian Cruise Line will not accept any Guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy at the time of their travel with Norwegian Cruise Line. We do not represent that travel is safe during any point in the pregnancy of a guest. Advice should be sought from your medical practitioner prior to embarkation. The period specified above represents our minimum requirement. Some countries place limitations on the entry of non-national pregnant women. Check with the relevant embassy or consulate before you travel to confirm any further limitations.

Online Check-In: Guests are requested to complete their Online Check-In form at www.ncl.com/ca/en/oci at least 24 hours prior to the departure date. Guests who have not completed their Online Check-In form at least 24 hours prior to departure date are required to complete the Check-In process at the pier 3 hours prior to departure time noted on their cruise documents.

Shore Excursions: Guests are encouraged to book their Shore Excursions, spa treatments, and specialty dining through Norwegian Cruise Line for the widest selection of tours along with some important added benefits – safe and reliable tour operators, easy pick-up, and drop-off at the pier. Ground Transportation: Ground Transportation is available for purchase on Cruise-only reservations; transportation requests for the cruise-only guests will require the guest’s independent air information to be given to the Norwegian Cruise Line and be within the recommended flight arrival and departure times for your cruise. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, WAIVER & RELEASE: The Guest(s) acknowledge(s) that throughout the duration of the itinerary a reality TV show /series will be filmed focusing on the Entertainers/Performers and Stars. During said filming, there is a possibility that the Guest(s) may be captioned on said reality TV show/series.

As a condition of booking, the Guest(s) release(s) Stars on Board, Inc. Norwegian Cruise Line, their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated companies, the directors, employees, agents, representation, any and all producers and broadcasters of said reality TV show/series from all claims, actions, grievances and liabilities in connection with the subject reality TV show/series to be filmed on board the sailing.

Stars, prices and programs are subject to change without notice. Stars On Board has the right to substitute or cancel any of the promoted and confirmed stars at any time, due to unforeseen occurrences. Weather conditions may cause some events to be postponed, moved or even cancelled.

ENTERTAINMENT INFORMATION: All the Stars Concerts on board are complimentary; seating is free on a first-come, first-served basis for regular bookings. Guests will receive their Concert Tickets by e-mail according to equitably pre-determined show-time slots 2 weeks before departure. All Suites and Reserved seat occupants will receive their assigned seat tickets also 2 weeks before departure.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER:

(a) The guest acknowledges that STARS ON BOARD, its affiliates and partners are not an insurer of his or her safety during the course of the voyage, and the guest agrees that STARS ON BOARD, its affiliates and partners shall not be liable in any circumstances for any incident or injury arising from events occurring on and outside of the guest areas of the vessel or outside of the vessel itself including but not limited to those events occurring ashore (including shore excursion), on tenders not owned or operated by the carrier, or resulting from equipment not a part of the vessel, or upon docks and/or piers, or involving persons employed by STARS ON BOARD, its affiliates and partners and acting outside the course and the scope of employment.

 (b) Stars On Board, its affiliates and partners disclaim all liability to the guest for damages for emotional distress, mental suffering or psychological injury of any kind not resulting from a physical injury to that guest, nor from that guest having been at risk of actual physical injury, nor intentionally inflicted by the carrier and Stars On Board, its affiliates and partners.

STARS ON BOARD (SOB) TERMS & CONDITIONS: Passengers acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Booking Terms and Conditions when they initiate their booking. SOBC Booking Terms and Conditions are available on our website www.sobc.me under the Tab EVENT TERMS.

In the instance when the price level of the fuel barrel exceeds the applicable rate per barrel and Norwegian Cruise line implements a fuel surcharge, Stars on Board reserves its right to implement a fuel supplement charge that will not exceed USD 11.00 per person, per day and that will be collected from each guest on board.

In Europe, any Guest under 18 years of age is considered a minor. Any Guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the same or connecting stateroom by a Guest 18 year of age or older at the time of embarkation who expressly agrees to be responsible for the under 18 Guest throughout the cruise. Failure to present such documentation may result in boarding being denied with no refund provided.

In the USA, Norwegian Cruise Line’s policy dictates that a minor or young adult under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom (or a connecting/adjoining stateroom) by a guest 21 years of age or older at the time of boarding.

Minors – an individual under the age of 18 on the day of embarkation/boarding.
Young Adult– an individual between the ages of 18 and 20.
Note: Two people under the age of 21 may travel together in the same stateroom if they are a married couple and provide proof of marriage to a Norwegian Cruise Line representative at the pier prior to boarding.

ACCESS REQUIREMENTS: To receive appropriate assistance, Norwegian Cruise Line must be notified in writing of any disability or condition that may require advisable special treatment. Guests with wheelchairs, scooters and limited mobility may have difficulty or may not be able to get on and off the ship using tenders and gangways at some ports of call. PCR test requirements
  • All guests will receive a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival at the cruise terminal and will wait in the designated area until the results are received.
Will NCL offer testing onboard to meet travel requirements for guests flying back to countries that require negative Covid-19 test results to re-enter the country post cruise?

Yes, COVID-19 antigen tests prior to disembarkation will be administered at the port terminal and paid for by the Cruise Line. For those guests who require a test to return home. If a PCR test is required for any travel home, the cruise line will administer and pay for a PCR test, only for those guests whose home country specifically requires a PCR test.  The PCR test for US based sailings will be administered by Norwegian Cruise Line’s medical staff.

If a guest has any other travel plans after disembarking the ship, other than returning to their home country, the guest can still request a PCR test, at a fee of $150 per person.

If a guest booked a post-cruise hotel for more than three nights, it is the responsibility of the guest to make their own arrangements to get re-tested at their own expense.
